Meg

Meg’s rehoming is being facilitated through our Community Program. Please submit an application as usual. Meet and greets will take place with Meg’s current person (who loves her very much), but must re-home her due to physical barriers.

Meg is currently located in Toronto, Ontario.

Meg is a 7-year-old female (spayed) Red Heeler (Australian Cattle Dog) looking for the right forever home. She is affectionate, playful, intelligent, and full of personality. Meg loves being close to her people and forms strong bonds once trust is established.

She enjoys long walks, outdoor adventures, exploring new places, and soaking up all the smells along the way. She also loves toys, treats, bully sticks, and having a job or activity to keep her engaged. Like many Heelers, she has energy to burn and would thrive with regular exercise and mental stimulation.

Meg walks well on leash and is responsive to positive reinforcement training. She is a quick learner, eager to please, and does best with patient, confident guidance. Once she feels secure, she is deeply loyal and wants to be by your side.

She is good with dogs of all sizes and could do well in a home with another balanced canine companion. She may also be able to live with a cat with a slow, thoughtful introduction.

Underneath her spirited nature is a sweet, loving dog who wants connection, routine, and someone to share life with. Meg would be an ideal match for an active person or home that understands working breeds and wants a devoted sidekick for walks, adventures, and everyday life.

If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who enjoys both snuggles and playtime, Meg could be your girl. If you’re interested, apply below!
