Check back for updates or apply to become a foster below!

We are always looking
for short and long term fosters.

Fostering is a great opportunity for you to be involved without the full commitment of adopting. Don’t get us wrong, fostering is a commitment, as we ask that you provide lots of love, attention, generally show your new foster the ropes and teach them to be well respected canine or feline citizens of the world.

Foster dogs may need refreshers in house training, basic training, socialization, medical rest, confidence building and other special attention to get them ready for adoption, however, you will be rewarded with lots of cuddles, unconditional love and kisses from your new pal. Fostering is no cost to you. We provide supplies, food, and cover approved veterinary expenses.

As part of our surrender-prevention work, we regularly receive requests from our partners, including women’s shelters, social service agencies, and caseworkers who are supporting individuals and families experiencing temporary crises. Often, the only barrier to safety or housing is finding short-term care for a beloved pet. You can apply to become a temporary foster with us to support these requests as they arise.

Fostering Process

If you are ready to foster, here’s how the process works:

01

Complete our foster application. Indicate if you’re open to short term or long term fostering.

02

We will set up a call to discuss the dog/ cat you have applied for. If you have applied to Foster-to-Adopt, we will discuss the process in more detail. If you apply generally, we will call you to chat.

03

We will reference check and contact you to set up a virtual home visit.

04

If you have filled out a general Foster or Foster-to-Adopt application, we will contact you as new animals are set to be rescued, to see if you are available. It is important to consistently check your email so these foster emails aren’t missed!
